Stuff-a-Stocking for Seniors – A Gift for Seniors Who Need it Most
The Stuff-a-Stocking for Seniors program helps us combat the loneliness faced by many seniors in our community. Seniors in Amherstburg, LaSalle, Harrow, and McGregor can either sign up or be signed up by a neighbour, friend, or acquaintance to receive a stocking that is filled by gifts from their community. Each stocking (gift bags) comes with an assortment of gifts that fill each individual stocking (gift bag).
Want to help? Donations can be dropped of year around at our office at 320 Richmond Street in Amherstburg. Suggested items are: word search books, hand held magnifying glasses, memo pads, pens, individual bottles of hand sanitizer, travel packages of tissues etc. Monetary donations assist us in purchasing the perishable items prior to delivery.
